Roster and Stats Freeze
Saturday March 4th begins the stats/roster freeze for the remainder of the season. This means no updates to stats will be made and no players will be added to a game sheet after the game sheet has been entered unless it is a data entry error. All stats on the game sheets are final and no adjustments will be made.
Spare goalie process for playoffs
If a team requires a spare goalie for playoffs they must give a MINIMUM of 24 hours notice. The spare goalie information is to be sent to stats@nchl.com as well as the team account manager no later than 24 hours prior to the game they are requesting a spare goalie for with all of the teams the spare goalie plays on, any other leagues the spare goalie plays in, and all stats from all team pages for the teams they play on.
Spare goalies that play in the NCHL current W2016-17 season and play in the same division or lower will be considered an acceptable spare goalie. Goalies playing in divisions higher than the team division will not be approved as a spare goalie.
For all tier 4 teams, all goalies playing within div 12-14 with a minimum 10 games played on a tier 4 team will be acceptable for team to request an approval from the league as long as they do not play on any teams above division 12 and are of the same team ability. Any goalie playing above division 12 will not be approved as a spare goalie. This includes any team that the goalie may have spared on.
Goalies are only reviewed on a per game basis, if a goalie is approved for one game that does not make them automatically approved for a second. They must send a request in for each game they require a spare goalie.
We do understand that there are last minute fill ins required in some instances. If a team is not able to follow the spare goalie process above due to a last minute cancelation they are still required to submit all of the above info BEFORE the goalie plays their game.
A review will be completed ASAP after the game and if the goalie is determined to be above the level of the division they are playing in, the team will forfeit after the game is played and their opponent will continue on.
Anytime a spare goalie is approved for playoffs no goalie listed on the regular season team goalie roster is able to play out and the team will forfeit for playing an illegal player if they do so.
All players and Goalies require 10 games to qualify for playoffs.
We do not make any exceptions on minimum games required for players in playoffs, all goalies with less than 10 games playing in net must be approved by the league.
A player with a combination of 10 games between goal and player is permitted to play out however, if you require this player to play in net and the player does not have 10 games playing in goal you must follow the spare goalie request above.
No jersey infractions are allowed in playoffs
Every team is required to have matching jerseys in playoffs. Players that are not in an acceptable team jersey based on the NCHL jersey rules will not be permitted to play.
Valid government issued ID must be shown to the time keeper individually by each player when entering the ice.
The time keeper will not hold IDs for the team during the game. Once you have shown your ID to the time keeper the time keeper will return your ID to you. Players are responsible to keep this ID on the bench during the game in case a verification from your opponent is requested. Please bring an envelope etc to put all team IDs in during the game so IDs are not left behind or misplaced.
