Yesterday, the Government of Alberta announced that as of today, February 9, 2022, the REP (Restrictions Exemption Program) will no longer apply since certain public health restrictions will no longer be in place, which for hockey players, means no longer being required to provide POV (proof of vaccination).

Being that individual facilities and organizations can still choose to implement their own procedures and protocol, it is possible that some facilities may choose to continue to require proof of vaccination or implement alternate requirements. As we deal with several facilities, we are currently in contact with those facilities, confirming how they are choosing to proceed.
Our policy, going forward, from today onward, will no longer require players to provide proof of vaccination. All players will continue to be required to have registered on LeagueApps (NCHL registration and payment system), which includes completing the liability waiver and player contract, and must be approved on either the regular roster or the sub roster for each team they play for.
If a specific facility chooses to continue to adhere to a proof of vaccination policy or implement alternate requirements, we will notify players of these exceptions and will expect all players to adhere to these requirements, which may or may not include players being required to provide proof of vaccination upon entering a facility. |
